Yesterday, I was invited to have dinner at 5Church. It’s a restaurant in Downtown Charleston, housed inside of an old church. Hence the name 5Church of course. When you walk in, you see the beautiful vaulted ceiling, with hand painted words going across both sides of the roof, cathedral stained glass windows on each end of the building, and great feather inspired chandeliers hanging above the bar. It’s one of the best interiors I’ve seen in Charleston.
The service was pretty good. The staff is very well trained and knowledgeable. The waitress gave me a very generous pour in that huge wine glass, that made my sauvignon blanc even better. Mmmm..mmm. I ordered the NY strip with potatoes and mixed vegetables. I ate everything, including the brussel sprouts. It was just right. I hate to admit it, but for the first time in a while, I didn’t ask for hot sauce, spicy sauce, steak sauce, abousuletly no sauce. Nothing on that plate needed help. Haha
This was one of the more expensive meals, but I did leave throughly satisfied. 😉
