Okay Okay, I do own a couple of ugly sweaters, but that title was too divalious to resist. I liked the idea of ugly sweater parties a couple of years ago. They gave me a nice touch of nostalgia. Now, the sweaters aren’t really “ugly”. They are fashionably ironic. You can even buy them at Saks.
My mother used to make us sweat shirts with iron on applique, sparkly fabric paint and hot glued bells. That was when I would actually be in the Christmas spirit. I wish I could show a personal photo, but I don’t have one in my possession. They were similar to the photo below.
This year, I did not participate in anything involving ugly sweaters. I preferred to keep it festively fashionable. I bought my dress at TJ Maxx. Its a Monteau Los Angeles ribbed bardot midi. It was a $16.99. Yes, that is Christmas garland I cut and made it into a cute little crown. My peace choker is by BCBGeneration from Belk Mt Pleasant.
I truly hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season and cheers to the New Year.
